Our Runners:

Lee Harris

Lee was our first finisher, in a PB time of 02:52:47, setting a new club MV45 Marathon Record, despite picking up an injury on the route.  This is well within his Good For Age time of sub-3:05, so hopefully we'll be seeing him on the course again next year!

Congratulations Lee!

Dan Williams

Our second finisher also achieved a PB, with a time of 02:54:28, again well within his Good For Age boundary of sub-3:00, so we hope that he will be able to be on the start line again in 2025.

Congratulations Dan!

Luke White

Spring chicken Luke was our third finisher, in a fantastic time of 02:55:55, only seconds outside the new, stricter GFA boundary for his age group.

Congratulations on a fantastic PB Luke - there's clearly more to come!

After picking up an injury on route Adam finished in an amazing 03:13:51

Simon Rhodes

Simon was the next blue and black across the finishing line, in a brilliant time of 03:16:52, only a week after completing the Manchester Marathon.

Well done Simon!

Pete Dimbleby

Pete was the next ARC member to finish, also running a week after Manchester, where he pulled up due to injury.  Despite this he finished in a remarkable time of 03:19:41, clocking up yet another marathon.

We hope Pete makes a full recovery in time to achieve yet another Good For Age place for 2025!

Phil Brayford

Phil finished close on Pete's heels in a time of 03:19:59, nearly 20 minutes inside his Good For Age boundary, so we hope we will see him again on the 2025 startline.

Many congratulations Phil, on another brilliant performance!

Nanaki Bajwa

Nanaki was our first female member through, in an amazing Good For Age time of 03:27:41.

Many congratulations Nanaki.  We hope to see you on the course again in 2025

Claire Crook

Having earned her place this year by running a Good For Age time in her first marathon at Manchester last year, Claire ran a superb PB of 03:45:05 in London this year, again within the new Good for Age boundary.  We hope to see a return in 2025

Congratulations Claire.

Stephen Grice

This was Stephen's first marathon, which he conquered in an excellent time of 04:24:32, making him our first first-time marathoner to finish this year.

Congratulations Stephen

Jo Stephens

This was also Jo's first marathon.  She has always wanted to run London but has never managed to gain a place - until this year when she won the club ballot for our sole club place.

Jo finished in a fantastic time of 04:39:46.  Congratulations Jo!

Although she gained a club place she also chose to raise money for Parkinson's UK, with both her own father and her mother-in-law affected.

Jo raised an incredible £1,243.  Well done on that count too Jo!

Rebecca Grimshaw

This was Becky's first marathon, following a successful ballot entry.

Becky has worked hard to complete her training whilst bringing up her young family and followed Jo a brilliant time of 04:40:30

Many congratulations Becky

Kara Nicholls

This was the first time Kara ran a marathon without the support of husband Karl running with her.  She gained her place through the ballot and finished in a time of 05:00:51.

Well done Kara

Barinderjit Cheema

After a welcome return to the club, Barry, aka Usingh Bolt ran London in aid of the Samaritans, for whom he is a volunteer.

Another member struggling with an injury, Barry finished in a great time of 05:04:25.

Congratulations Barry.

Barry exceeded his fundraising target, raising £2,385.  Well done Barry!

Anne Kelsall

This was Anne's 4th trip to London, having gained a Good For Age place.

After finding the longer training runs harder this year she tried a more relaxed pace for what she decided would be her last marathon, but still found the going tough, finishing in 05:14:55.  18 marathons and out!
