Past Award Winners - Claire Heaven Trophy

Claire was a longstanding member of Aldridge Running Club participating in many events up and down the country, for example the Great North Run, Run for Home (usually involving Fancy Dress). She organised many trips to the Rocky Horror Show when some of the men’s and ladies outfits were questionable!

When she couldn’t run any longer Claire instigated the walking group, which is still going strong today, then later the biscuit club with the famous biscuit tin.

The trophy sits alongside the Paul Sebastian Cup and is presented annually, starting in 2022, to the female 'member of the year’, a person who fellow members feel  has contributed the most to the club in the previous year, continuing the traditions upon which the club was founded.  The recipient is nominated by club members and voted for at the club’s AGM.
