The Christmas holiday period offered, as usual, extra parkrun opportunities.
ARC had 67 parkrunners and walkers on Christmas Day, then 46 on Saturday December 27.
Congratulations to our top-ten finishers: Daniel Pheasant (1st, 3rd Age Grade), Alex Dicken (3rd), Andrew Wood (4th), Luke White (6th), Mark Shaw (7th, 6th Age Grade), Bruce Fanshawe (8th), Lorraine Beesley (8th lady, 4th Age Grade, then 5th lady, 2nd Age Grade), Alex Dicken (9th), Nathan Whale (10th on both occasions) and Hannah Noon (10th lady), also to Steve Hammond, who was placed 10th in the age-graded table for his birthday event on Christmas Day, and to Wendy Sargeant and Karen Waple, who were placed 3rd and 9th respectively in the age-graded tables for their event on 27th.
Special congratulations to Steven Grice, our only member to find a way of fitting in a parkrun before Wheaton Aston 10k on Saturday 27th, where he achieved a PB.

In the Masters' competition our A team of Quentin, Liam, Tom and Neil came 7th and our B team of Mike, Stewart, Mark and Pete came 5th. This leaves Aldridge currently in 11th place in the league of 14 teams.
- Midland Women's Cross Country League, race 2 (Cofton Park, Longbridge): Our first team of Sarah Close (39th), Claire Crook (51st), Claire Boyes (53rd) and Helen Beecham (64th) placed us 9th out of 27 teams, with our Masters team of Sarah, Claire and Claire placed 5th. Our B team of Luke White (95th), Ben Dean (97th), Ryan Noon (125), Mike Morley (127), Neil Day (132) and Mark Shaw (156) came 4th out of 11 teams and Tom, Ben, Ryan and Mike formed a Masters B team, coming 5th in that table. ARC had 36 parkrunners and walkers on Saturday January 11, despite many events being cancelled due to ice, with 27 at Walsall Arboretum, 13 at Beacon, where we held an ARC takeover to promote our 10k race, and 3 at Brunswick Park. Congratulations to our top-10 finishers: new member Daniel Mcneil (2nd), George Brizell (4th) and Richard Moore (7th, 4th Age Grade), also to Tom Neal, who achieved an age grade that placed him 2nd in the table for his event.
