PAST AWARD WINNERS - Jane Buckerfield Trophy
Jane Buckerfield joined the club in 1990 and was an active and much-loved member, both on the running side and socially. She was well liked by everyone she met and is still fondly remembered and sadly missed today.
This trophy stands as a fitting tribute to Jane’s warmth, commitment, and the positive spirit she brought to the club.
This trophy is awarded by the Committee to the person they feel has shown outstanding commitment to the club over the previous 12 months. The award recognises the dedication and enthusiasm of members who go above and beyond - assisting in the running of the club or taking an active part in its many activities. The recipient cannot be a committee member, as it is designed to honour the wider membership and their vital contributions to club life. It has been presented to a female member since 2011, prior to which the John Floyd Cup was shared between male and female members. The trophy was presented to the club, in memory of Jane, by Dave Buckerfield.
A new trophy was purchased in 2025, to bring a consistent look to the four main trophies
