Trophy winners for 2022-23 are shown below:
Paul Sebastian Cup and Claire Heaven Trophy
'Members of the Year' are chosen by a vote of the members at the Annual General Meeting. Starting in 2022 the Paul Sebastian Cup has been awarded to the male winner and the Claire Heaven trophy to the female winner.
2022-23 winners: Paul Sebastian Cup: Liam Harrold and Claire Heaven Trophy: Lucy Baker.
Liam's nomination focused on his commitment to the cross-country and road relay teams, in difficult circumstances, more than once turning out after a sleepless night sitting with his daughter in a hospital. The nomination stated: "He’s a fast runner because he works has socks off, in the tiny pockets of time he finds. He never shares his achievements, never talks about coming first or PB’s. He just goes out and does it".
Lucy was chosen because of her work with the popular and successful 5k improvement group, developing and trialling the new club app and organising the women's relay teams.
