How it Works

Members choose from a list of “Official” races throughout the year with suggestions welcomed from members, to make up the Grand Prix.

Points are awarded according to position relative to ARC runners - 20 for 1st, 19 for 2nd, 18 for 3rd etc...  Points are calculated separately for the overall Mens' and Ladies' competitions and within each age category.  In the event of there being more than 20 runners in a category the points will start at the number of runners.

To qualify for points you must enter under your own name and under Aldridge Running Club.

A runner’s best seven scores are added to produce his or her Grand Prix points tally over the season. In the event of a tie, scores for 8th, 9th, 10th races etc are included until there is an overall winner or one of the runners has no more scores to add.  If there is still a tie the winner will be decided by comparing scores in races where both have run together.

To be eligible for a trophy a runner must enter a minimum of 7 events from the list on this page.
