The club handicap is an opportunity for members to try to improve times over the season, with members starting at different times according to past performances. If all run according to form then they should all finish together. The handicap race did not take place from 2001 - 2013 but was revived by Ron Reynolds in 2014.  Since 2022 the handicap has been run by Steve Blakemore​.
